Ingredients

  • 1 – 16 oz Cervasi Cavatappi pasta
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cup shredded fontina cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cook cavatappi according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and cream. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3–4 minutes.
  4. Stir in fontina and parmesan until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
  6. Gently fold in crab meat.
  7. Add cooked cavatappi and stir to coat evenly.
  8. Transfer to baking dish.
  9. Top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
  10. Bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until golden.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
